The best thing you can do is hire someone local in a county/state criminal case. They know all the people in the local courts and CFS systems and have those connections that can get some better outcomes than would be possible from someone out-of-district. I concur, I collect paintings from thrift stores and those look like what I would consider pretty good finds. Granted I never pay more than a dollar or two per painting but Nick's paintings are very similar to the 'style' I've noticed 'good' thrift store paintings tend to have.
Just as an aside I always like finding these things and sometimes you get the vibe it was someone's high school or maybe college art project. I love wondering about the journey the painting must of took (especially if they have the year on them), did grandma die and everything got donated? Did someone finally realise they were never really gonna be an painter? Some are legitimately interesting and I think we all need more hand made creative efforts in our lives and less cheap Chinese SHIT. Lol
