I find the argument about the parishioners misidentifying "track marks" really stupid. Your average traditional conservative church goer likely isn't going to know first hand what track marks look like. They probably heard about them on an episode of Law & Order or something and assumed that that's what the sores on Nick's arms were. Based on the drastic changes in the Rekietas' appearance and behavior I'd say it was a reasonable assumption to make.
 
EVS is a retard. I was homeschooled for a decent part of my life and was left home alone for days at a time all the time. Yeah I could feed myself and do laundry and take care of the pets. Add in 4 other kids into the equation and it would be a total mess. It's like leaving one dog home while you go to work can be fine. Leave one dog and 4 puppies and when you come back there's a decent chance your house is gonna be a mess and one of the dogs will have potentially gotten hurt. Add in coke and guns into the mix and you're asking for disaster.
 
Rackets had always wanted to raise his kids libertarian, how dare his kids neglect themselves. How dare they not do laundry by hand so they wouldn't be picked up on stream, how dare they go without food aren't spaghettios enough, and how dare they not shower don't they know that their father is spending his time strung out or fucking a whore with his balls. Clearly the children want to be little socialist traitors to America by snitching on their dad and planting drugs on him. Maybe Rackets should plead affluenza so that the judge could feel a little sympathetic towards him.
