TLDW Couples are in a sticky situation. Recovering personalities emerge as different people and partners often don't recognize or like each other more. Emotional, material, or really any kind of codependency will fuck them up.

I think Nick and Kayla used drugs to reanimate their dead and loveless marriage. This is why I believe the only way they can postpone divorce is by continuing to use together. I said this many times in the thread before and I know some people disagree, but I didn't explain why I think their marriage will last as long as they are using.

I have a feeling drugs, sex and degeneracy was an attempt to keep the marriage that otherwise was dead. I think they started this shit to stop being how they were for a reason, to escape the past selves. Them not liking each other started before drugs. So they medicated themselves and shit was interesting again, and in a way they did escape the "old marriage".

If they started getting clean, the corpse of old dead marriage will emerge, xcept it will be in a lot worse condition then before drugs. Bruised and scared with criminal charges, possible convictions, embarrassment, humiliation, traumatized children, blame... on top of it being loveless.

That as well. Parents frequently struggle with the kids getting older. Because theirventire life has been built round them. Your activities, friends, social circles. When the kids start aging out of needing you all the time, what do you do? What do you have? Do you want to be stuck dealing with kids all the time? Do you need a break?

Based on what Aaron said, he said he saw Kayla throw things at Nick on multiple occasions, that they had huge fights, and that Kayla probably caused Nick's black eye last week.
