For those of you unfamiliar w/ Banjo-Kazooie it's rather well known for its... its irreverent humor. Jolly Roger is pretty much a gay stereotype (sailor outfit, high-pitched "voice", shy and flamboyant) to the point that the menu items in his restaurant are called Salty Dumplings, Toad in the Hole, and Seaman's Surprise.
Maggie actually has a deeper voice than pretty much every character in the game, and Jolly exclusively refers to her as his "partner." And she looks like this:

Honestly, that's fine by me. Horror movies are one of very few subjects where tumblr bullshit doesn't proliferate, and I hope it stays that way.

Of course! The game where I play a bird inside a backpack and a bear wearing the backpack is symbolic for the suffering of closet trans people everywhere! It all makes sense!
