I am not terribly familiar with raver culture, but from what I understand they go to these dance music festivals and do lots of drugs. You see those colorful beads on Teddy's wrists? They are known as "kandi." Ravers trade Kandi bracelets as sign of PLUR ("Peace, Love, Unity and Respect"). So it's sort of like a hippie thing, but with techno instead of classic rock.

I am told that the girl Teddy's with is named Kim Sola. I was able to cross-reference this name with my own research, and indeed Ted graduated from College of Staten Island in 2014 with a "Kimberly Sola." Both graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (note that Ted went back and got a 2nd B.S. degree in 2018). The LinkeIn member below is, I believe, that same Kim Sola, as she is from the Staten Island area and has a congruent work timeline:
