he also blamed the pastor for ratting out Nick, said it wasn't his concern, then people on chat said it was mandatory for the pastor to call the cops and he used his legalese talk to imply the pastor should've kept quiet, after that the chat told him about the kids and if them being in danger was enough for him to give the pastor a pass and Uncivil just replied that he knows Nick personally and he is his friend, and that maybe chat was correct to care about the kids, but he cares more abou Nick.
I wish kurt a million struggle sessions about denny cops

I wonder if the "physical and/or sexual abuse" part might be Rekieta drunk-driving the kids around and Kayla allowing it. I also wonder if it might have something to do with the two of them failing to feed their children or even buy food at all, since cokeheads don't eat. One would assume that the latter would be put more on Kayla.

Not saying that Rekieta and Friends would never, of course. I think it's kind of stupid that Minnesota law conflates the two at all. There's a far cry between backhanding a kid and fucking a kid; neither are nice, but one is far worse than the other, and should be in a separate category imho.

If you're in Jim's chat right now, don't forget to say hello to vtuber sensation Pipkin Pippa, who's definitely watching her hero on her day off!

If the pastor really reported that he suspected abuse because of the law and not his own conscience it would be a rare instance of mandatory reporting actually working.

Over the years, the evidence has mounted against reporting requirements as the primary mechanism for addressing child abuse. Policies that expand reporting are not associated with more accurate detection of children at risk of harm, and states in which all adults are legally required to report are no better at detecting child abuse than those in which the mandate is narrower.

The fact that the pastor bothered to report at all says with almost certainty that the abuse/neglect was so obvious it was indisputable. Making a report as a mandatory reporter is a lifetime event in a person's career, something the reporter will never forget. Because if you're wrong, the person you're reporting could at the very least be harassed by the state/fed or, at worst, get their children taken away and their life ruined over a false accusation. Some mandatory reporters would rather bet on never getting caught rather than having to go through that stress/having to fill out the paperwork.

God bless that pastor.

People are still saying Steel Toe reported Nick to the cops too lol.

Mental midgets always need everything always fucking spoonfed to them and anyway his kids were definitely endangered! The mandatory reporter did the right thing. Nick and his wife are ghouls from Fallout! They have coke and guns just laying around. There is no way that the kids were being looked after.
There are so many retards commentating on the situation with like 10% understanding of the lore of even just the last 2 years. Very few streams have been watchable on it. I'm curious how Metokur does tonight.

maybe a kid accidentally ate drugs at some point

It's hard to express into words but there's something deeply unsettling about Uncivils "People should've let the child abuse go on and the real issue here is that Nick didn't talk to me about the sex and drugs" stance. Whats even weirder to me is that he is such a doormat towards him while it’s obvious Nick doesn't respect Uncivil and looks down on him. He wasn't told about the sex and drugs because Nick doesn't vieuw him as his peer.

Kurt/Uncivil is legit an autist which is part of the reason why I cut him some slack on his shit takes like: “The kids witnessed their parents drug abuse and weird sex and the police knocking down their door and dragging mom and pops off in handcuffs. They’ll be fine though, since they didn’t get diddled!”

100% that was my reaction when I read the charge. There could be this or that and this and that. All separate.

No. What Nick should've done is jumped out of his car while holding his phone like a gun when he got pulled over.
Oof.

Can you imagine if Nick were ever featured on Donut Operator's channel?

Does anyone else get the feeling Kurt is mostly just upset that Nick didn't involve him with the partying and swinging?
Yes. I think Kurt is a very lonely person.

However, I also think that his solution to that problem hardly lies with Rekieta, and that he needs to realize that.

If I'm traffic stopped down the street and the cop is going "trust me bro, we have a warrant, I just can't show it to you right now, just give me your door code" I'm definitely not giving him my door code. I'm sure we will see exactly how it went down when we get the bodycam footage, but Nick's actions in the report seemed fairly reasonable considering the high-pressure situation. It's the 6+ months of cocaine addiction and child neglect that are the problem.
Well, I agree with the last sentence. The warrant would have never been served if it wasn't for all the other crap.

I would add however that regardless of how it went down, him throwing the warrant on the ground sounds really funny. That's a tantrum.

Uncivil just replied that he knows Nick personally and he is his friend, and that maybe chat was correct to care about the kids, but he cares more abou Nick.
If he said that, then I'm glad he'll likely never have kids.
