I think Russ is deliberately giving the wrong address to try and fool us, the Kiwi Farms. He reads his thread religiously and has doxed himself in his filings several times, so he might have drawn the wrong lesson from that.
If he really reads his thread, he'll know that we've had his real address for a long time, and nothing has happened to him as a result.

tl:dr

I wonder if some software somewhere tries to detect PO boxes and other mailbox-like addresses, for whatever reason, and you can get past it by subtly altering the address in a way that doesn't prevent delivery ... by UPS for example. I know that sometimes the postal service will go nuts trying to find the right address but I don't know if UPS/FedEx will bother, or vice versa; it's a very local thing.

I used to live in a very rural area, and my physical address was a HC box.

A lot of places online wouldn't accept my address because it was a PO box, even though it wasn't. I'd fool it into accepting it by writing HC B0X (with a zero).

Your Honor, I'm too retarded to litigate. Please just let me win.
you're not supposed to say that. when null bring up the plack of you being a practice paralegal assistant.
Oh, I respectfully disagree. We got some prime (if not concentrated) whiny slobbering today:

at most null will put it on a video saying another bolder out of path up the hill.
he won't be able to get ad revenue at most super chats about the lolsuit & stupid process—the real people who will be mocking law Twitter & YouTubers.
The winner in this case so far was the DMCA assassin, who jumped in & jumped out after he got his case law win.

*money issue is part of the process that happens to all lol suits get over it*

One good thing about hail maries is that when they are denied, we get a better understanding of where we are as a society. In this case, a circuit court decided something that 1) goes against 30 years of copyright law precedent and 2) goes against Supreme Court precedent. And the Supreme Court still doesn't want to hear this? It's not a stretch to imagine that it really is because they don't want the grief of controversy. For all its prestige, the Supreme Court is as gay and stupid as the rest of the judicial system. May this be a lesson to anyone who had any hope that the system works.
Welcome to what it has felt like to be a pro-Second Amendment legal observer for the last two decades.

You'd also think a law blog would avoid saying "Moon also illegally posted" when the court case hasn't proven anything at all about the merits yet. And I'm pretty sure Moon didn't actually post the file either.
Null should ask Hardin if it's worth sending a polite letter asking said blogger for a retraction of this defamatory statement.
Hardin absolutely stomped Russhole in the goolies with this submission
Hardin CRUSHED and SCATTERED Russhole's goolies with this submission.
The Judge might excuse delay in mail transit, but not "I sent it on the 8th so I dated it served on the 4th"
The 4th was a Saturday. Is it even possible to serve papers on a weekend?

Ostatnio edytowane:
At the very least, he needs to point out that there are motions on the table that could end or severely restrict the case, so it would be utterly inefficient to let Russhole continue to spew impotent nonsense and new motions before those motions (which he has absolutely refused to address) are disposed of.
I think that is basically the entire point of this notice. Hardin just pointed out some of the scummy shit Greer has done in regards to filings without being too obvious as to what he is trying to accomplish. Maybe Hardin is being too subtle and this court needs the equivalent of a foghorn to figure it out, but he is basically doing exactly what you had said.

If my Math is right Greer only has another day for those 4 motions if the court doesn't decide to grant an extension. June 15th - 30 = May 15th.

I will actually lose my mind if Florida judge actually grants this new extension request. It would be beyond absurd even with how insanely retarded the progress of this case has been.
Not necessarily though, a court can give the party they think is going to lose more rope to hang themselves with. Giving people extra time or a little extra leeway they shouldn't have is a common way courts do that. It helps prevent accusations of bias.

We shall see.

I would like to see the court not grant it though because it would mean all of Russ's filing would become even funnier.

But like in Utah Russ will essentially get his stay, because it's unlikely that the court will respond by then. They definitely won't respond by tomorrow.

However, it's a bad look to not have those motions ready to go by the time the court does deny the stay. Russ really should have learned after the last time it was denied that filing a motion doesn't automatically mean anything and be working on answering those motions. The #1 rule of lolcows applies though, he hasn't learned anything, because he's too retarded.

Hopefully we can get this case tossed due to failure to prosecute, since we have proof that his retardation isn't a one-off.

This wouldn't apply to Greer. A company I used to work for used the same sort of service Greer probably uses for his Po box. They list a suite number instead of a box number so if you just look at the address and don't look into it any further it appears to just be a normal building with multiple occupants on the property.

I’m thinking of services like this https://www.edq.com/blog/how-can-i-identify-whether-or-not-an-address-is-a-po-box/ (read it - it covers private boxes as suites also) but I can’t be imaginative to learn WHY someone would need to bypass these detectors).

When I lived on campus, I had a really shitty experience trying to get mail and packages from the horribly run dorm mail room. So I got a PO Box and found that by using the post office's address I could get UPS and FedEx from places like Amazon. Perhaps it varies by local post office, but I never had issue with them storing my packages for a few days despite having rented the tiniest mailbox.
