In point of fact, 0 Farenheit was the coldest temperature that could be produced in a lab and 100 was his body temperature. This slipped slightly for some reason.
So, "Farenheit is based on humans" is literally true.
A better critique of Celsius is the zero point is too warm, making it necessary to switch from positive to negative too often.

I got couple old thermometers in the house that still have the dual celsius/reaumur scales. Fuckers have the C not on the same side as my newer celsius/fahrenheit meters so I get briefly confused every time

I use Fahrenheit out of habit (and most of the recipes I use are in it) but I don't see how Celsius isn't objectively superior for setting 0 and 100 as being actually connected to something that occurs in reality. I mean I'll make fun of the metric system to piss off yuropoors sometimes but Pat actually believes this dumb, ignorant and extremely fat stupidity.

It's actually a lot more expensive to keep it around because of bullshit such as, for instance, needing both a set of metric and imperial socket wrench heads and other tools, having to convert all the time, etc. It's especially infuriating when even in a single appliance, car, whatever, you have shit in both imperial and metric for no real reason.
It's about consistency. All the other metric measures are based to some extent on the properties of water at maximum density, e.g. 1 cubic centimeter of water = 1 milliliter of water = 1 gram of water. That way even if you lost every single sample in existence you could recreate the entire system from scratch.

Only the theropoda dinosaurs became birds. We do have an idea of what certain dinosaurs had for colour like the one nodosaur found in Alberta oilsands that they could still find out what it's pigment was (least I think it was that nodosaur, I know it was one of them).

Boiling / freezing point of water is so gay though, because you have to define it at a particular pressure, etc.
Now if they had made 1000 C be the boiling point of water at sea level or whatever, that would have been kinda fun.
The biggest problem the whole metric system has is the names are such shit that "metric mile" is easier to say than "kilometer".
