On youtube I saw a clip of the founder saying something to the effect of "those that give in and hire us are such sweet babies," hence the nameWas this organisation named after "Sweet summer child"?
Unfortunately, this. 'member when Bayonetta's previous actress called for a boycott of Bayonetta 3 due to her being a whiny bitch about her contract, and it still sold over a million unitsif the requirement is to not buy games, this will never get normie support. Gaming boycotts on both sides of the aisle (or even for entirely apolitical reasons, like Left 4 Dead 2 when valve wasn't giving them dedicated servers) have literally never worked. How can we make it happen anyway?
I think Silverstring was behind the localization. That's a shame. I assume it's a translation thing though.
Ah, the usual cycle of "Journalist writes article>Wikipedia cites article>People cite Wikipedia>Journalist now has created 'Truth'"
This wikipedia page sprung up a few days ago. After the kotaku article was published it has been edited and now references it heavily, even mentioning KF at one point.
Rule for Radicals #13: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it".what even is the victory condition for this shit?
i don't really see how anything would come of this. even if they get a few studios to denounce and cut ties with SBI (which would be a god damn miracle) and SBI disbands as a result, the people in SBI aren't going anywhere and neither are their industry connections. they will go to different positions and continue doing the exact same work.
and that's not even touching on the fact that SBI isn't even super special or outstanding, there's hordes of DEI/ESG consultants all across the corporate sector, including in video games. even if this somehow results in the death of SBI, there's a near infinite supply of others just waiting in line to take its place.
I bet if she was desperate for money she could suck a mean dick
Easy. Recommended different games.if the requirement is to not buy games, this will never get normie support. shouldn't the wikipedia page be getting massive amounts of flack, considering it's literally listing the exact same games that the steam group listed? or is it okay because wikipedo is a trusted lefty source and that means everything they say could never be used for harm.Ah, the usual cycle of "Journalist writes article>Wikipedia cites article>People cite Wikipedia>Journalist now has created 'Truth'"

Now we just need Milo Yabadabadopolis to get ghost writers pumping out gaming articles under his name, Mike Thernovich offering to box the bullies and Mercedes to start streaming from prison and games are saved.Cross post from the Ralph board. Now here's something. Valve in particular stood out to me, so I looked up "__________ leaves Valve" and poked around the Overwiki and check this shit out:
Here are a bunch of now-ex Valve people and when they left
- 2018 - SBI founded -
- 2016
- Marc Laidlaw, writer
- Andrea Wicklund, artist
- Doug Wood, modeler and animator
- 2017
- Chet Faliszek, writer
- Erik Wolpaw, writer, came back as contractor for Half-Life: Alyx
- Jay Pinkerton, also came back for HL:A
- Josh Weier, writer
- John Guthrie, level designer
- 2019 - Richard Garfield, designer for Magic: The Gathering, then Artifact
- 2019 - Matt Wood, dev, CS:GO
- 2022- Doug Lombardi, VP marketing
- 2023 - Mike Ambinder, experimental psychologist
What the hell happened in 2016-2017?

The closest we'll ever have is Epistle 3, and maybe some kind of fan interpretation of that down the line in game-form. But after shit like Hunt Down the Freeman, and given the state of the HL community and its infestation, I'm not even sure I'd want that. Those are all original Valve artists/writers who worked on Half-Life and Half-Life 2.
Marc Laidlaw was the main writer for Half-Life and the expansions, as well as Half-Life 2 and the Episodes. I'm pretty sure he did some work on Portal and Portal 2, too.
We're really not getting Half-Life 3, and if we do, it won't be Half-Life.
