Man Says Gym Outfits Are 'Out Of Control' & Girls Wearing Tight Clothing Should Have More 'Dignity'

A man on TikTok has garnered a lot of attention after sharing his unsolicited thoughts on what women today wear to workout.

In his video, which has received over 9 million views, the man named Benny argued that women's gym outfits are "getting out of control."

Benny said women should have more ‘dignity’ for themselves when picking out an outfit to wear at the gym.

Although it's 2024, and one would think we're well past the era of judging women based on how much skin they show, Benny complained that women need to rethink their "revealing" athletic wear.

“What these girls are wearing is so revealing that there is nothing left to the imagination,” he lamented.

Benny quickly clarified that he did not mean this in a "good way." Rather, he claimed that women who dress in tight leggings and a sports bra have no "dignity" for themselves. "Please have some more dignity for yourself and what you're sharing and how you present yourself because that's not for everybody and it's not the environment to share that," he demanded.

But don't worry, "I'm not being totally unreasonable," he assured viewers before adding that he just doesn't find it attractive when women wear skin-tight clothes in public.

Many online responded to Benny explaining that women are not to blame for men's thoughts and he should focus on himself.

Content creator and online fitness coach Nicole Ferrier stitched Benny's video, educating him and viewers on the clothes women have worn to work out well before 2024. Specifically, she showed an image of women at an exercise class in the 80s, clad in spandex and very short shorts — not by choice, but because "It's been something that has been conditioned."

“We have the eighties, which I don't know about you, but these outfits look a lot more tight and revealing from a lot of what I see," she said.

However, it is not about what society is forcing them to wear in this situation; it is about women having the freedom to choose how they want to present themselves. "I'm not here to talk about if women should cover up or if not," Ferrier said. "I think women should just go into the gym and wear what they feel comfortable in."

“I mind my own business because what they’re doing is not wrong,” she continued. “But looking at someone, objectifying them, and not being able to control your thoughts, that is wrong.”

Ferrier added that, historically, it doesn't matter what women wear, men will always find a way to objectify them. "I feel like women could wear sweatpants and a hoodie, and some other guy would have an issue with it, or they still wouldn't be able to control their thoughts."

“It really doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, but at the end of the day, if your thoughts are that strong, maybe you should work out at home," she advised, "and you should also really think about how you look at women."

Chiropractor and content creator Becky O'Neill also shared her opinion on what Benny had to say about women’s gym clothing, and she was shocked by what she heard. "Sorry, I lost a few brain cells listening to that," she started her video, referring to Benny's original TikTok.

O’Neill shared that she is a productive person who works out six days a week and has a trainer at the gym. During this time, she is only wearing a sports bra and leggings. Not once during the hours she spent at the gym did she focus on, judge, or even notice the clothing of the people around her.

To Benny, she gave one piece of advice that he desperately needed to hear: "Mind your business and focus on yourself."

I recently started going to the gym again for the first time in probably 15-20 years, it's different than I remember it. A few young women there wear gym outfits that are more revealing than my wife's lingerie, and when I went to the locker room for the first time there was a group of shirtless young men standing in front of the mirror flexing and taking pictures of each other. The reason I started going is because I wanted to put the kids in martial arts and heard there was a good teacher there who taught in a free room. When a gym employee was showing me the room she said that sometimes they have to shoo people out of there when it's time for class to start because they're making TikTok videos of themselves "working out".

I'm not going to comment on it because I don't want to turn into the "old man yells at clouds" meme, I'll just say that I was surprised by the culture shift that's apparently happened there.
I think it's been the same for a while (minus the tiktok) as too many have imagined it as a place to try dating since you can see for yourself how active a person looks.

The phones just make it more obvious why people are there.

i think if a woman wants to wear ridiculous tight spandex bullshit to the gym, more power to her. she's clearly confident in her body and i'm happy for her (unless she's a fat).
In my experience, the only women who want to wear tight shit are fats that look like some kind of freakish sausage golem about to burst its seams.

It's nice that the apartment complex I live in has its own small gym: barely anybody uses it, and it's far too cramped to try and do TikTok videos in.

They call us "creeps". Suffer in silence, foolish whore.

it's a lost cause trying to change women's dress with concepts like dignity and reasoning.
Never interrupt the enemy when she is make a mistake. We do not need these airheaded bimbos in the gene pool anyway. The children they produce will likely be equally bad or worse than they are. Just make a note and avoid contact. Let them enjoy their time before they slam headfirst into the wall.

me readign this thread: wow we are futher from orgy gsrdens and freeing all nipples then i thought.
We need nude gyms.

not regulations over clothing.

Men should start dressing up in the same kind of tight clothes and start acting the same way like when parents act the same way as their children to show how cringe theyre being. Ima go to the gym bulging in my tights with headphones on and sunglasses on. Like bish im just trying to mind my own business why are you starin girly?

I actually kind of agree with him. I’ve seen women doing everyday errands in very tight gym clothes, and there really seems to be no reason for it except showing off. Very tight clothes are not comfortable. Sports bras aren’t comfortable, really, but they are a necessity. I’ve also seen the same on very young girls, too — it’s normal now for girl toddlers to be dressed in midriff-baring outfits and swimsuits and for preteens to start shopping at Lululemon. This was a controversy in the time of Dance Moms, where Abby Lee Miller was blamed for putting her dancers in skimpy outfits and forcing them to diet while they were still preteens. In a perfect world, we could all take pride in our bodies, but we don’t live in a perfect world. Perversion exists.

However, I also think men’s gym clothes can also be out of control. I’ve seen young men and boys going to school in gym outfits and men wear very tight spandex shorts, often without a tank top. I don’t think that women should be held to a different standard than men even though men are freer to wear what they like because women aren’t as perverse.
Sorry ladies, I know it's awfully tempting, but I'm not going to stop showing up in my peak 90s Lee Priest fit.

It's really hard to ignore it when it is in your face. Like it seems normal gym attire for women now is pants so tight you can make out the asshole.
It’s like “Stupid Sexy Flanders”. I’m not a fucking monk, I will notice when a chick wears a thong under her skin tight leggings. The issue is that it’s no longer the town skank and it’s not like I’m a kid peeking at yoga classes, it’s incredibly public and it’s like every woman.

I guess if you gotta complain...but...

Buy a big salami, tape it to your crotch and go wear skin tights pants yourself. My feeling is the girls will get the message pretty quick.

The only women to hate at the gym are the ones that complain about being cold all the time.

Either put more clothes on or work harder.

I shouldn't have to come close to heat stroke because you're "tooooo cold"

Girls Wearing Tight Clothing Should Have More 'Dignity'
Fixed.

We all know those women aren't there to get fit, they are there to get attention.

I googled for "gym clothes" and this was the result. Notice the difference:

Notice how no woman complains about being objectified or the male gaze for stores to sell gym clothes like this while the men wear looser clothes.

I've blame yoga for this. Before this, athletic wear wasn't this tight. It doesn't really bring any benefit to wear tight clothes, ask people doing martial arts and how their uniform looks like.

I built a gym in my spare room because I'm not trying to sit/lay in other people's bodily secretions while some thot films a TikTok. Would recommend, I went full Autist and watched DragonBall Z during a workout last week.
Gains with Goku > Public Gyms.

It's all part of the mating game. Scantily clad maidens pussies reek of pheromones and urine and the boldest lion in the gym will pick up the scent of his duck-faced prize from at least two floors away.
Does it work, though? Gyms are a very gay environment and I don't say that in a mean way. Men are more focussed on their own physique comparing themselves to the others rather than paying women attention.
