Concur. I didn’t really take Null seriously until he cut Dax and Ralph etc out. I just never understood their appeal and couldn’t understand how anyone with a modicum of principles would willingly associate with people like them.

There's been a few times over the years I've been frustrated with Null, but if there's one thing I've learned in my time here it's that the "soft sell" works better than the "hard sell" with him, and he eventually comes to the right conclusion if you just let things play out. Null is a stubborn son of a bitch, but that trait is precisely what has kept the site going for so long. A more malleable and impressionable person would have packed it in a long time ago given all the dark and nefarious forces arrayed against KF.

He did things like move the Masterson thread to the food subforum temporarily in order to trigger all the people aggressively accusing him of covering for Dick because of NP2. Said people wanted his thread moved to a cow forum (which, of course, it eventually was). The fact that people are still expressing PTSD over what was obviously a joke specifically designed to trigger his critics is amusing to me.

(Incidentally, this is also why Nick's cope that Null is "afraid of us" is demonstrably bullshit).

Anyways, to me, the important thing is that he eventually came to what I consider the correct conclusion in these things. Bearing any animosity towards him for taking a while to reach that point just seems petty and pointless to me.

Yeah, the CBDX people back in the day, dunno what the current one is. The fact that that second one is even being debated still in some corners is stupid because even PPP admitted to Jim that he astroturfed the shit out of the NP2 angle. PPP can be entertaining at times, and every once in a while he'll make a really solid point, but he's not above lying to try and bolster his argument. Watch him, but watch him with caution.
