Salvo said that Vito canceled his appearance on spelling bee because he can't be on a stream with Jesse. For those that don't know, Jesse strikes supernatural fear in Dax's heart and mind, a mere sight od Jesse's stickers is enough for Dax to evacuate the premises ASAP. So being a good poodle for Dick, Vito declined associating with Jesse, because Vito "values" (LOL) friendship with Dax a lot more than Ralph.
Ralph has always been a liability to Dax but with Jesse in orbit Ralph becomes something much scarier than that. He is an apparition of doom.

IIRC he was the kind of kid whose mom takes him out of school in the ninth grade because he’s being bullied too much. So in his defense, it’s kind of hard to answer “what were you like in high school” when you never really went.

Since my native language is phonetic, I always found "spelling bees" an odd type of contest, very much like paralympics.
I guess it's an anglo thing, because I just don't understand making a sport around your ability to speak words.
That being said, Ralph should stay away from any type of activity that requires the use of his pickled brain. I know you're reading this Ralph.
