You almost always want to get a contract extended before it expires for multiple reasons.

1) Consistency. If you are making/receiving promises, you don't want those obligations to lapse. It's a bit of a pain to "turn off" your obligations and then "turn on" once an agreement is reached again, for lack of a better word. The parties also both benefit from sustained expense/income instead of it lapsing.

2) Timing. These things take a while to negotiate and you want to make sure you have plenty of time to work through any concerns so that you can keep things moving without a lapse in contract.

3) The worst one for Nick, retention. In his specific case Rumble would want to lock Nick down now. You don't want to lose talent to other offers, so the earlier you extend the contract the less chance you have of talent being poached. The fact that Rumble is seemingly unconcerned with this is very telling. Not a good sign for Nick.

I am fairly sure that Nick got some short extension he nerver talkes about, and he is just elated to have totally dunked on the Farms. We will know of he talks about renewal in the next few months. My gut says if he gets a new contract, he probably got an extension.

He typically buys what he wants of needs dor himself.

- Nick's parent typically get them gift cards to hotels or restaurants. They also take them on family trips. They have to visit so the children can get their presents from them. Nick typically likes to give them experiences and trips.

- He is ignoring Flashcast drama. He is not blocked and is not engaging. He likes everyone, but he is sure he will be drawn in at some point.

- Nick has been invited to a lot of shows recently, but he has been so busy. He has also been trying to cut back on his work schedule to avoid burnout. He wants to avoid the quantity of content he was doing Post-Depp.

- He wants to go on Lead Attornery's LOCALS show about streaming culture. A lot of popular streamers do 10-15 hours a day and he cannot do that. He has a family amd ADHD.

- He is working out his contract this month with Rumble. They have to figure out if they are negotiating in FL or over the phone. He prefers to go there to negotiate and add on some holiday. He has a lot of ideas he wants the platform ti implement amd some partnered content ideas for them to promote.

- He doesn't pay attention to what people say about him and his wife, but he knows a bunch of people think that she is dead, gone, or divorced.

- He is not interested in doing a comic (despite heaving 2-3 ideas) because the area is a mess. He wants to put out a book. He put the team to do it together last year, and they are just waiting on him.
