I don’t think that would be enough for him. Nick is one of those guys who digs his heels in so hard that the only thing that MIGHT (MAYBE) trigger change is killing or maiming one of his kids or parents while drunk. But knowing Nick he’d say “I’ve had way more to drink lots of other times and didn’t put anyone in the hospital, so my drinking clearly isn’t the issue. It was just bad luck!”
Having made my account around this time, I remember pretty specifically that the KickVic and pro-Vic were engaging in a pretty goofy back-and-forth where each side preemptively declared victory after each new filing or development, particularly during the time of the depositions, where frankly no side came out looking particularly good (Ron of course coming off the worst).
