As @Himedall All-seeing Waifu said earlier, it is possible that we're looking at a stepfather when looking at Randy Smith. Whoever he is, Dan definitely knows Randy, because he posted a reply on his In memoriam page under the Daniel Harris name, and then (as "Mandy") relied on a picture of Randy Smith lying in a hospital bed in Nick's Locals.

Balldo's Gate asked people in the DM chain discussing this if we thought the person in the In memoriam photo of Randy Smith, and the person the hospital photo, were the same person. He wanted to be very meticulous and careful.

Everyone agreed they are both photos of Randy Smith.

What tied it all together was that the Daniel Harris name came from the phone number seen on Joe's show.

- The number used to call into Joe's show traces to Daniel Harris.
- The photo "Mandy" posted in Locals appears to be of Randy Smith in the hospital.
- Daniel Harris did post on Randy Smith' In memoriam page.
- The crash that Daniel Harris was involved in on the 360 is significantly similar to the crash "Mandy" claimed to be in, right down to the day and location. The one where "she" asked Nick for legal advice.

The other numerous supporting details are, of course, in Balldo's excellent post. I don't want to repeat the whole thing.

Who exactly Randy Smith is to Dan is less important to the fact that he's absolutely connected to Dan. "Mandy" shared details about "her father" that match with Randy's life.

The police took down his info after the crash and filed a report. They recorded that the drivers name was Daniel Harris and he was a 41 year old male. If Daniel Harris is another alias, we'd be dealing with an Inception-grade catfish who had a fake ID and car insurance information under that name on hand and ready to show to the police on their arrival.

Exactly. You can fake shit on social media, but it's considerably harder to fake out a cop.

The odds we're not dealing with Daniel Harris here are astronomically low.

Yup. Even the good wigs are not going to have that weird of a hairline (I have never been fooled by even 'good' wigs on the scalp). In fact, that hairline is so unusual it would be another great clue if someone could dig up pictures of his meetups. How many long haired men were there? Maybe a few? Even so, the hairline will stand out. If he was at one of these events, he will be easy to spot.

I am waiting for more information, but I have not been able to find a Harris or Smith family picture with anyone male who appears to have a similar hairline to match them to Daniel.

This might be that I have not had enough samples, but I am currently leaning toward Daniel (remember he willingly released this picture) getting an acquaintance to hold the picture up. Also of note: see how clear and higher resolution this image was vis-à-vis the other 'MAN-dy' pictures? I am inclined to say this is a clumsy red herring.
