I'm glad to say I have never monetarily supported a youtuber. It's true that Viva has eclipsed Nick in terms of success.

I can't remember which trial, probably Depp, but Viva did try like Joe to jump on in to streaming it when he saw the numbers of others. But like Joe, his numbers were middling and like (modern) Nick, he couldn't stream consistently.

Viva also has the contemporary Nick problem that he prioritizes his mundane stay-at-home duties over actually running his media enterprise. Or at least he did when he still lived in Quebec. He used to have to leave the trucker convoy early each afternoon during his live coverage to drive back to Montreal to pick up his kids from school so his "wife wouldn't kill him".

Unironically, he comes off as very competent and serious when discussing his trade/expertise; one of which is vulnerability, a woman is naturally smaller/weaker then a man, and therefore may not be able to defend herself as capably as a man with only her hands and feet. But you get without with his tie off, alcohol in him, and on a panel with a woman and he will tell you what a pain in the ass the modern woman is and any over the age of 30 and single is busted. Apparently malin argued with branca so hard that branca left saying he would punch malin if he ever sees malin irl. Sorry for the delayed reply, but the stream was unsurprisingly swept up/unlisted. Highlights include a drunken Branca (a nationally prominent attorney who is considered an authority on self-defense case law) goading Jon Malin (graduate (?) of the high school dropout recovery program of the Detroit public school system) into a debate on the constitutionality of universal suffrage. Spoiler: Malin did not win. So he seethed until Branca left and then talked mad shit afterwards. @FROG tried to do an dramastream efap of the show while it was still up; being too lazy to pre-screen it, he inexplicably assumed Malin won the debate (lol, lmao). When it became clear that this didn't happen and he was treating his CG audience to their hero Malin yelling incoherently while getting Branca's fist shoved up his asshole, the efap was terminated without warning and Malin himself was brought on to 'explain' to the audience what happened on the rest of the stream ("I totally owned that piece of shit").

Contender for what exactly? Simply having a legal channel and surpassing Rekieta in subs?

I can suggest two that are experiencing positive growth, and that aren't connected to Lawtube, but I dunno if it's they are exactly what people are looking for in terms of a Rekieta replacement.

I could see John C. Bryan surpassing Rekieta some day, but he mainly focused on cases where people are fucked by the government (namely law enforcement), and not much else. He is a practicing attorney (as in he often covers his own cases) and his politics might be best described as constitutionalist in nature.

Steve Lehto is even closer to surpassing Rekieta in subs. He also does civil rights stuff, but goes into other civil and criminal litigation too.

The problem with throwing out suggestion is I think there's a lot of people looking for "long-form" legal analysis like Nick used to do ages ago, but that's fairly rare in general. Leonard French still does it, but French is widely perceived by the Farms as a shitlib (personally, I think he's okay when he keeps it to IP law).

I suppose Emily D. Baker already surpassed Nick during Depp, but her audience and content is very normie and strict.

You know, I think it's actually an opportunate timing that Dick has decided to grab a hold on Nick 'now'.
