A Queens middle school teacher was arrested Tuesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old student, police said — after once posting on social media about “helping kids understand consent.”

Melissa Rockensies, a married 33-year-old teacher at Corona Arts and Sciences Academy, was arrested over the disturbing allegations around 10:30 a.m. in Queens, according to cops.

It wasn’t clear whether the alleged rape happened on or off campus.

Rockensies was charged with rape, criminal sexual act and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old, the NYPD said.

Ironically, an October 2021 post shared on a Facebook page that appears to belong to Rockensies highlighted how to help “kids understand consent.”

Part of the PSA infographic advised adults to ask if a child would like to give a relative a hug, rather than demanding that they hug their relative.

It also advised parents to make it clear to their children that they should not keep secrets from their family.

A DOE spokesperson reportedly said Rockensies, who earned about $85,000 last year, was reassigned from the school pending the outcome of her case.

“This alleged behavior is extremely concerning and wholly unacceptable,” the spokesperson said in a statement to local outlet QNS, adding that if Rockensies is convicted, the DOE will move to have her terminated.

It's probably more about two things: 1) how much control they have over the boy, and 2) how flattered they are to be lusted after by someone so young.

It's not really about the age, it's more about the emotional connection. Women draw emotions to people around them that they spend a lot of time with. Teachers: Students, Workers: Fellow employees, Charity runners: Bums and the needy.

Women get too emotionally vulnerable with the students like this case, and the rest of the details (Age, sex, etc.) don't matter to them merely what feels good. In the case of children it's easier to control and some women have "corruption" fantasies too.

Note: This doesn't mean she's not a pedophile but she'd probably screw fellow employees and others in other positions. It also doesn't mean all women will fuck their students, there has to be a particular vulnerability in the emotional state: Also this is not an excuse for said behavior.

By 30 you're expected to be an adult, no matter what. You can't hang around college students any more, you can't get blackout drunk every weekend, you can't vacuum a rug and call it "adulting". At that age, you're not adulting, you're just an adult. And part of being an adult means not caring about whatever inane bullshit kids like. If you're thirty years old and still listening to Lil Future Overdose, people will think something is wrong with you.

30 is the closest thing we have to an official "you are no longer cool" age and that drives some people insane. It's like a mini midlife crisis. Becoming a pedophile happens to be a frequent consequence of said crisis.
 
On the surface that guide doesn't look crazy to me. Americans teaching their children the wrong names for body parts always struck me as odd. If your kid has an actual medical issue they'll have a much more difficult time trying to explain to an adult.
