He's got great points and even though some of the techy lingo made my eyes glaze over, he's still fucking good at presenting an argument. I haven't watched ltt in years, but I may start watching GN.

While I do not doubt that Linus' team is desperately overworked & Linus himself is a money-grubbing retard I also don't doubt footage like him putting a RAM stick in backwards is staged to try & entertain the audience. His audience is predominantly normalfags who incidentally want to be informed on purchases they fantasize about some day being able to afford. Furthermore Gamer Nexus Man doesn't seem like the type to understand this as is evident by this jargon-filled video. His intentions are pure but he strikes me as a Stallman-like turbo autist who drags audiences into the weeds like sasquatch until they drown in jargon. What is the easiest way to get attention? Be loud & wrong. I won't bother doing it but I'm sure all of these Linus videos are full of midwits (the kind who use his forum) who also noticed some of these errors & are more than happy to correct the host in a video comment nobody will read. tl;dr everyone involved is a faggot

With the resources LTT has there's no excuse for these many errors to be noticed, especially when I know that many folks will use LTT as a guide for parts and purchasing decisions when it comes to PCs. I'm glad someone has the balls actually to call this out.
It's at least partially a bit.
One of the reasons not to send Linus your rare hardware is that for the sake of the video, he's going to ram a cheap screwdriver through the unit, guaranteed.
It comes from the top, when they were clearing out the house, a good quarter of the shit in his house was stuff from the company that "went home".

Back to the home clearing videos, Linus admitted he never reviewed a particular Chinese VR helmet because it didn't fit his beak. He then shoved it on wife's head, and it fit. Because it was designed for the chinese head.

Nah, he uses blooper reel style footage as well. It's just less idiotic than the LTT version, with more cursing at junky prebuilts or exploding components.
Steve can joke around, but he is taking a particular tone in this video that he "didn't want to do".

I did the same thing too... seems to be the go-to knee-jerk reaction for when anything "bad" happens on YouTube.
In fact this shit's been going on for as far back as 7 years ago when Pewdiepie and Markiplier made vidos at the same time being all sad and shit that YouTube was creating "drama", and as a result, people jumped on that fucking bandwagon in an instant.
Apparently you can't be critical on YouTube without making people have frownie faces and that's apparently not allowed?

it's subtle, but the fact he frames 'aggressive expansion' as a positive and 'taking time' as a negative shows he hasn't learned a thing from GN's video or from the post he's replying to. He completely fails to grasp what people are actually complaining about.
Also, top-of-the-line equipment means nothing when your company's issues are caused by human error.

Everything that’s going wrong with his company all seems to be him refusing to spend money but trying to make as much money as humanly possible.
Even the weird story about him strong arming a kid to buy his YouTube Silver award. Linus didn’t even offer to buy it back at anything other than cost. Like bruh you could add a 10% finders fee or something you fucking Jew.

It's so completely fucked up that Linus Troon Tips sold that startup's prototype unit. A close friend was involved in a startup many years ago and exactly this happened.
When it comes to prototypes of any kind, the cost associated with it is basically labour times hours. Everything is hand fabricated and maybe a bit of CNC gets involved. Each prototype is worth at least high four digits depending on what it was.
I have a friend in China and this exact scenario played out (tester misuse, unhappy about it, then auctioned). Luckily, the person who bought the prototype (at less than 1/20 of the cost) was a friendly competitor and the prototype was sent back. They blamed themselves 100% for not background checking reviewer as this parasite was known to engage in such thievery.
While I would like to pass LTT's actions as mere negligence instead of being malicious, I am constantly reminded of LTT's pet fat troon Tranthony and his whiney Byuucide posts. It wouldn't surprise me if LTT did this "just because they can", what is the startup gonna do? Sue them for selling something they were given via a handshake?
There is an important lesson to be learnt here regarding large reviewers. Never give them any good will, always make them sign legally binding documents and always chase the important prototypes back. Even when it's mass produced, the prototypes will hold sentimental value and help track the progress.
Especially with LTT, they will wreck you and they're too large to challenge. They also fill the diversity totempool (literally an Olympian one) with a fat pet tranny. If any company wants a serious review and honest feedback, they should avoid entertainment content farms like Linus Troon Tips.
Here I thought leaves possesses higher ethnical standards than the free-for-all Laissez-faire Chinese capitalist hellscape. I guess not. Linus is a fag.

Probably but Linus Tech Tips on the other hand is for entertainment. Or is it not? The few times I try watching any of his content it's bogged down with annoying editing & "bloopers" like jumping on a bed until it breaks. Linus himself now looks less like an IT guy & more like a gay escort whose specialty is roleplaying as Logan Paul. The tech stuff is a gravity vortex that all of this other garbage window-dresses but the icing has clearly buried the cake & I get the impression people don't watch this shit anymore for tech/purchasing advice.

I would recommend his prebuilt computer reviews. Not as informative as some of his other stuff but it's pretty interesting seeing just how badly these major companies are messing up builds they sell for thousands of dollars.

Seems like linus has been on top of the pile for a long time and its made him sloppy, arrogant and out of touch. He seems to think that his success was proof he is inherently good, rather than understanding that success encumbers oneself with a duty to uphold a high standard. Prosperity theology and its consequences yet again.
The stuff regarding Billet Labs is legit lawsuit territory. Like there are actual damages there even beyond the swiped prototype. It is a shame they accepted a repayment for it after the fact because it throws cold water on any cause of action, but this is why people really should make use of those free consultations you see commercials about if you feel wronged, at least just to see.

I think a lot of people forget that LTT is actually taken seriously by people who are just getting into the hobby - after all, he has the largest following, and you'd be hard pressed not to find a video from LMG somewhere very early on in the results for reviews on parts, or searching for tutorial videos.
I remember a few years ago, when Verge made that absolutely retarded and objectively terrible PC build guide, any channel worth their salt mocked it thoroughly (notice how Linus didn't mention anything on it?). Of course, they didn't need to do that, anybody who knows the slightest about PC building would have seen how retarded it was. Sure, videos like this won't do anything for people who have experience with actually building PCs, nor will it do anything to convince the braindead normies that think fruity Linus and his gaggle of troons and other undesirables are somehow entertaining, but it might prevent some teenager from spending his summer job money on Linus's special sponsor product that he intentionally failed to disclose is actually causing house fires.
Also, I'm glad that somebody who is widely regarded as competent finally called LTT's shit out, as it effectively shuts down the retarded teenage ballwashers that always post "b-but Linus said this" in response to any kind of tech discussion as if he's some kind of authoritative voice.
