Even without the implication, you know that if you're posting something that's claimed to be a dox of someone who hides their identity intentionally, it's going to create problems for that person as now they have to deal with that. It's not like he posted someone who clearly isn't Pippa, but rather he specifically used someone who could potentially be her based on publicly known information.
I don't think they're stans, they know the risk that this type of shit (Coomalot's bad jokes) can bring: the vtuber's graduation.
Plus, like most vtubers, any hint of her even being in the same room as a man, has the potential to start a full-scale weeb riot.
There are also a few things to keep in mind that would be known to both Nick and Faggelot, in that Phase as a company was very restrictive about collabs in the past which is why they blocked the Nick-Pippa one back in the day that Nick is butthurt about. Pippa was a major reason why Phase ended up being more open about these kind of things, so this kind of dumb shit hurts any future potential collabs for both Pippa and any other Phase talents with riskier members outside the vtuber space, and it's something he clearly new and so did Nick.
