Listening to the clip of him talking about his vacation (at 41 minutes into the stream) it sounds like the kids and grandparents were around, which would imply that either the vacation was to Florida or they took at least one set of grandparents with them on their trip.

Agreed. My hypothesis that it was an adult resort in Mexico was very wrong, since they wouldn't allow kids to come along. Kids being there would also explain why there was no opportunity to stream. @Cynthia Behave and @Himedall All-seeing Waifu suggestion of Hawaii sounds far more likely and it's unlikely there was a whole lot of degeneracy happening around the kids (or I hope there wasn't).

THEORY:
While Cynthia says Hawaii, here me out. I think Texas. He talks about having to go see this murdered person Sunday. He and Drex knew him for 30 years. Both grew up in Houston, TX, together -- so you'd assume this guy was from Texas also since Nick said he knew him longer than Drex.

Nick said he had to go see him Sunday? Sounds close to their vacation, right?. If I were to guess... I'd say somewhere like a Galveston or South Padre Island -- both beachy areas. I'd say Corpus Christi, but people there would go to South Padre Island. Aren't the grandparents in Houston? Again, easy drive w/them to Galveston or South Padre Island. Both places have kids activities all over the place. I know from visiting Galveston has a lot of kids pirate museums and activity stuff there. At night, it turns more adult (much like any vacation). Galveston also has big Air BnB homes on the water that are nice. Friend of mine just went w/family. Had a 3-5 bedroom home on the beach, which could account for parents, kids, and grandparents?

I'll also finally get to find out if my cinnamon batch is an epic failure due to a mistake using new fermenting vessels and underestimating just how buoyant and clumpy ground cinnamon can be in a fermentation. I'll drink it regardless, but I'd rather it tasted good than not. The recipe's posted to my profile page if you'd like to take a gander.

If you're a lol poor and have the time/skills buy either a 6S78/6S28 or if you really can find one the 7015A-708A/B (7016A is the one with the most features) movement and slap it in a case yourself.

The 8 series Seiko movements are good. Unregulated and undecorated versions of the 9 series used in the Grand Seikos, so that's not a terrible suggestion. I'd also add that if one wants a chrono, for $3k it's not hard to find a lightly used Omega Speedmaster. I don't like chronographs but even I know that's a better watch than the SRQ025 or the 037. Frankly, if one is looking for a stainless steel sports watch in the $3K range, pick up Seiko SLA021J1 or a NOMOS 782 (if you don't like how thick the Seiko is).
