I have been wondering about what would enable this lunacy and I'm beginning to suspect it has to do with the current elite fashion to trust in The Experts. There is a belief that The Experts come to their knowledge by a fool-proof process that protects the public from false conclusions. And that those citing The Experts never lie, never obfuscate. The Experts have replaced God as the arbiters of truth. This is why you have non-retards earnestly citing The Experts when they argue sex is a spectrum, men have no physical advantage over women, and a ludicrously improbable number of children are now suffering from a once rare body dysmorphic disorder. Because what are they left with if The Experts aren't infallible, if this administrative, bureaucratic process by which we reach absolute Truth is a lie? You have to live in a world where you never truly know anything, where the people you trust with the lives and health of your children could be wrong, catastrophically wrong, in a way that will irreversibly harm and damage a generation of young people.
