I play as male characters when given a choice between blank slates because they almost always have better designs, better looking armor, and better sounding voices. I also prefer playing as beast races when given the choice because I find playing as humans and elves all the time boring. It ain't that deep. Probably deeper than the orfice this board is named after, but I digress.

A female friend of mine sent me an article about Nike using a tranny in their swimsuit marketing campaign. When I pushed her on it she admitted to being uncomfortable about it and admitted it was like her sex was being erased. I said I agree and felt bad for women at the moment especially in sports. Then she said the most batshit crazy thing I’ve ever heard. Instead of blaming mentally ill pervert trannies for female erasure, she blamed the fucking patriarchy. Yass kween, as a huwite working class man, it’s my fault that the tranny perverts are invading your spaces and taking your places. She’s very offline and new to terfdom so I should be kind to her. I’m sure she’ll come around eventually.

Because they don't think of it as roleplay in the banal sense - in an age where if you're without a social media presence, you're seen as a nobody, the avatars people have are intended to project one's idealized self. This is why digital art is a currency online, as many trans people have animal or outlandish but still recognizably anthropomorphic profile pictures and avatars, usually with desirable sexual characteristics - given they have already untethered themselves to their physical, real-world appearance and identity already, it feels necessary to embody an idealized one online. This translates into the logic implied in that Tweet that male interests are uniformly gender-confirmative and any interest in female 'aesthetics' must be evidence of transgenderism.
You can see the inverse version of this thinking in mainstream consoomer Hollywood, particularly from Disney - characters are increasingly written in anticipation of the belief that people outside of that character's demographic cannot relate to them in any way.
I personally often default to roleplaying seductive, villainous and/or authoritarian female characters because I'm a fan of that trope on TV and in movies, not because I'm convinced it's representative of my true self.
Did she specify 'white working class'? Because I imagine the patriarchy, in this context, would be men of all stratas who would have been #metooed 6 years ago but are now practically encouraged to supplant, humiliate and speak for women.

It’s a weird combination of self obsession and lack of theory of mind (oh… autism…)
They cannot see that a character in a book or movie or game is there for an external reason. The character is there to drive the plot, or to be a plot point, or to entertain or annoy or horrify or symbolise something that is not them. it’s a story. A plot, a character. It’s NOT YOU.
They cannot see it without it being them. This is child level mental working, or serious lack of mental capacity.
A hero can be unpleasant, or great, or a mix of both - that’s not ‘problematic’ because it’s not about you. a heroine may look nothing like you, and that’s ok because it’s not about you.
Stories are escapism - this doesn’t mean you can’t identify with a character, but most people who are normal identify with a thing a character does. Autists and children want the character to be them. As well as being stupid it’s killing media because you’re not allowed to write complex characters any more, everything’s a self insert with no flaws.

Because I can put myself in the mindspace of the character. i cant do it if the charcter is a woman of if the character has certain traits that I just find disgusting to imagine. I dont want a mc thats a pedo or a faggot or a tranny. If youre a man rp as a woman you are one mental breakdown away from trooning out.

Sexual dimorphism is my favourite genre of trans photo, so here's 16 photos of one t4t couple. The man is Jupiter Velvet, who identifies as a 16 year old girl, and goes by @jupitervelvet on most platforms, and the woman uses Yves and goes under @sexycutiebaby98, but is much less active. They live in Miami.
I've also screenshotted photos of Jupiter Velvet alone, but really he's pretty generic, in that all TIMs are attention seeking clowns. He does drag performances around taking his estrogen shots on stage, but that's the only thing I haven't seen anywhere else.

Patriarchy is really about old men in power. Average Joe guy is only tangentially part of the power system, if at all, by virtue of doing casual sexism.
