This is why I wondered if she might divorce him to try to protect her assets if he had not told her anything about this, and in the event of him being arrested over a failure to appear warrant or something.

The paperwork there looks like she has accepted terms to repay this so maybe she just told Fatrick she will fix it and he thinks that means her family lawyer will tell quasi to eat a dick.

That would explain his delusional insistence that there is no debt.

Isn't Wisconsin a "community property" state? i.e. in a marriage, "what's yours is mine, what's mine is yours," including debts? I don't think she can protect her assets by divorcing him. Her neck was stuck out on his behalf whether she liked it or not the moment he was ordered to pay court costs. I suspect the best a divorce could do is relieve her of half the debt, but now that she's filed that agreement I doubt she could manage even that.
