Today I seized the courage to wear exactly what I wanted to work. Normally, if I wear something like a skirt, I change into when I get to work, but today I said to hell with it. And work was good! Yay! (One little girl asked why I was wearing heels--they we're flats, but not the point--and I just told her that anyone can wear whatever makes them comfortable. And her mom just stood there smiling and agreeing.)

And then everything just went to sh*t.

I got to the bus stop to go home, and some guy who was probably drunk or drugged-out started harassing me. He went from "that skirt would look way better if it was shorter" to "what's under the dress honey" to "show us your [chest]!" He even got up into my face and faked physically assaulting me.
I endured his crap for an hour before I realized that there were no more buses due to the holiday, so I had to call an Uber. I got home around 9:30; it's been four hours and I'm still shaking and upset, although the crying has finally stopped. A friend of mine says the number feeling will come next and then the anger--but I do not want the anger. I just don't want to feel anything.

This is new territory for me. I don't know what to do with everything in my head. I wish I could forget all about it, but it's stuck there.

Just...help? Please?

It's a story we all know of a mother feeling helpless in the face of gender ideology and its enablers. Her son was put on a puberty blocker without any assessment (she consented because she was told this is what happens). Most alarming piece of text in my view:

Casey (not his real name) soon experienced all of these. Within a semester, Casey went from all As and Bs to a report card dotted with Ds and Fs. Many days he found it impossible to get out of bed. He missed so much school that it triggered an official meeting about his truancy that included a circuit court judge. He gained more than 30 pounds.

Most alarmingly, during one therapy session about seven months after he started the blocker, he told the center’s psychologist that he was having suicidal thoughts. She recommended he be immediately checked into the psychiatric ward at Children’s Hospital. When he came out, he was taking several drugs for depression and anxiety.

So the mother pretty much corroborates that story with her experience. The kid also gets to comment in the article and obviously disagrees with his mother about certain things and has a different perspective, but doesn't dispute any of the allegations or facts presented in the article. The kid is 16 at this moment. A pseudonym is used for the kid to protect his anonymity.

Then, because the world is dumb, the kid decides to speak up on Twitter: https://twitter.com/SleepyOktobur/status/1643347040250781706 He gives up his anonymity and complains about the article. This of course leads to him gaining thousands of followers and asspats from the most deranged people on Twitter who somehow seem to think immediately believing everything this kid says is the right move. But if you read closely, the kid actually confirms what the mother said in the article. This is important, because the troons and idiots on twitter seem to think these tweets disprove the entire article. Nobody actually reads what the kid says and nobody waits for confirmation that this is even the actual kid.

To go over it quickly:

• The kid seems to be under the impression the reporter needs his consent to report the story, which is not how it work and the reporter tells him as much
• He says the article makes it seem like his mother had no say in the application of the puberty blocker, which is a lie. The article says the mom had to consent and she did.
• The mother says the doctor quoted suicide statistics to her, in order to put pressure on the mother to consent for the blocker. The kid confirms this happened. Other parents have also confirmed this happened to them.
• He says his mental health has been on a steady decline, thus confirming the facts presented in the article, but these mental health issues are 'unrelated' according to him. Anyone can see how unlikely that is.
• He claims his counselling stopped when the mother stopped her consent for the puberty blocker. If this is true then it's a mark against the Center because it sounds like they did that out of spite.

It seems very clear the dad is enabling this kid's behavior and quite probably dictating some of that insane screed. It's incredibly irresponsible but not too surprising since the dad is pretty much the one transing the kid in the first place.
