Yeah school shootings are actually pretty rare statistically, they just get a shitton of media coverage that makes people falsely perceive them as being much more common. A lot like stranger child abductions.

Kids are at much higher risk of gun violence outside school. I wouldn't be surprised if it's like a lot of other forms of violence against kids and the most common perpetrators are their parents or another close relative.

They'll also trot out "Guns are the #1 cause of death for children" when you respond with that, not taking into account that the vast majority of those deaths are suicide and underage gangbangers getting smoked.
