Did you save anything else? Screencaps, chat logs, that sort of thing? I was thinking it probably wouldn't be worthwhile to pursue legal action since it's been so many years, but if you have anything that could be used as evidence then it might be worth looking into. There are different rules for when statute of limitations kicks in for crimes against minors, it looks like it varies by state and the crime involved, but either way it hasn't been that long and you're close enough to age 18 that there could be a case if you had evidence and wanted to pursue it.

I do not know what they CAN do as we didn't have logs either, but it's been reported and I assume being investigated.
