Wu may call herself a Democrat, she may even vote for the Democratic party, but at heart she seems completely unable to shake the core Republican conceit that being wealthy is not only moral, but that it marks you out as morally superior to poor people. It's amusing watching her clash with people who are supposed to be her ideological allies because she really can't convince herself that their positions are correct.
The only person Wu is really concerned about is herself. You can see it in the issues she chooses to talk about. She may say "trans people", "women", or "developers", but she always means "me." I suspect that Wu's overnight conversion to a Democrat wasn't anything to do with ideology, it's a personal vendetta against a party that wouldn't give her a job.

Lol. Wu talking about school. After failing to graduate after 8 years of college.
And he joined at the perfect time, too. While the Republicans were slowly but surely grinding away their mainstream support with most Americans as the War on Terror ground onwards, the Democrats were slowly but surely regaining the advantage that they capitalized on in the 2008 elections, and since then has been the golden age for people like Wu politically and socially.
Willing to bet if the country decides to switch polarity, and the Republicans take control once more, we will be guaranteed a never ending flow of salt, especially if all the crap Wu has championed to this point starts getting beaten like a redheaded stepchild politically.
He's been a Democrat long enough that despite some lingering Republican values he obviously clings to, he's likely bought into being a Democrat legitimately for quite awhile now, so I look forward to seeing him go into full on shit flinging chimpout mode if November ends with a Democrat loss.
