I agree with you completely here. We need to be the elites. We're not building hi-tech, nor writing policy, nor creating culture. It's a disaster. But if I could point you to Jonathan Bowden's "Western Civilization Bites Back" lecture, especially the latter half, he explains that our appeal as the right wing is in our sexiness and our exciting irreverence like you mentioned. We have to be playful and loose as we get "chased by the teacher" so to speak.
