In the Blocked & Reported podcast today, Jesse Singal and Katie Herzog talked about a person who contacted Singal and claims to have posted the supposed threat to 4chan. They deny being MatthewHF, who claimed the act previously, however I am not sure how he could verify that information.
Seems to me, it could be the same guy who self-inserted last time who just wanted more attention. This person shared a picture of their thumb as well as a notebook supposedly from the original image, that seems to be the extent of verification/ID. They also apologized to @Null for fucking with the site, and causing him headaches, as it was supposed to be an obvious IRL shitpost.
