This site always reminded me of the "emperor's new clothes" fable. It's the one site where you can come and point and laugh at the obvious, while all mainstream social media sites have been co-opted - and largely ruined - by many little "emperors".

What I hate the most is how so few people have consistent principles these days. For example, there's troons on Twitter hoping that people on here are doxed, yet just 5 minutes ago, "doxing is bad!!!!". People are trying to pressure Cloudflare using arguments that I could apply to any large social media site on the web, including Twitter; the main place where all these insane troons congregate.

When, for example, August Ames was bullied on Twitter and ended up committing suicide, people either memory-holed that, said "it's not our fault", or said "well, she shouldn't have expressed wrong-think then!", then that incident was brushed under the rug, forgotten about, and it's on to the next thing. When it comes to Kiwi Farms and, say, Chloe Sagal, the narrative is that "KF murdered her!!", and nobody cares about the facts or any nuance at all.

If this site was riddled with made-up quotes, doctored screenshots etc. I wouldn't have even joined, but the members push each other to archive everything. That's what makes it such a great resource. I hope Null isn't too disheartened by what's going on currently and doesn't give up on this place, although obviously his hand may well be forced at some point.
