Bridget is canonically a male and has been considered so in every game he has been featured in, but was raised as a girl due a superstition his village held or something. Basically, his entire character arc is about him trying to reclaim his masculinity because he doesn't feel right being treated as a girl, and his girlish appearance was more or less a joke to contrast how much he wanted everyone to call him a man. As soon as I saw this news I wondered how long it would take for arcsys to troon him out so I went to the official website and, turns out they don't use pronouns in his bio.

If your book gets translated into english then you might have a woke translator who changes your characters to troons without your consent. This is possible nowadays.
