I notice that in the "solid little family" interview (not the one outside the hospital, the one she gave Sky News before that about how much therapy she was going to need), she's back to the story that she, not the neighbor, gave him CPR.

I’m looking forward to enjoying this thread guilt free now that it’s not based on the ongoing desecration of a little boys corpse. If the guy who claims to be a local is legit, shits about to hit the fan for her. It’s not just the media who would have been holding off going after her while he was still alive. The police would be doing it too, and if that’s true about drugs being found in the house…..

The worst thing about that interview was watching them turn around and walk back into the hospital, full of the staff they’ve spent the last few months monstering. If they were in any way decent they’d fuck off back home where I’m sure their army are waiting with cans and lines ready for the balloon release.
 
And this is probably just the beginning of a whole new shitshow with Hollie trying to sue anyone and everyone involved.

This whole things just gives me massive flashbacks to hearing that shit and realizing how insipid it really all was since like Archie poor Terry Schaivo was in a Persistent Vegetative State.

As posted earlier there's the Tony Bland case, but a more recent example of this is Alfie Evans, a baby with a degenerative neurological problem that rendered him brain dead but his parents were adamant on keeping him alive, up to the point of trying to leave the country for experimental medical care. There's an A&N thread here if you wanna pour over the homegrown debate. Seems like we're getting to the point where these debates around "My child shouldn't be given a DNR order from the NHS even if his brain is soup" is becoming uncomfortably common.

My heart goes out to Archie’s family minus the mother. I definitely focused too much on my vitriol for her to realize that she’s not the only one close to the poor kid.
 
It is my sincere wish that the family take the money risen and get Hollie and family a shit ton of therapy.
If nothing else comes of this, maybe that will help
And yes. Rainbows away. What can I say, I’m an optimist

Hollie : Archie passed at 12:15 today. And I can say I'm the proudest mum in the world hes such a beautiful little boy. And he fought right until the very end. And I'm so proud to be his mum.

Ella : He was taken off all medication at 10 o'clock. And his live stats remained completely stable for 2 hours until they removed the ventilator. And he went completely blue. There is absolutely nothing dignified about watching a family member or a child suffocate. No family should ever have to go through what we've been through. It is barbaric.

massive delay to the coming out because paul didn’t want them to, said they should grieve in peace for a moment. he went off to tesco to get painkillers and hollie called sky to tell them she had a statement to read.

paul believed hollie would be rational for a moment which is why he stayed with the nurse, then went in to see what they were doing with archie to find hollie and lauren writing a prepared statement. argument ensued as the nurses tried to get him fully unplugged and prepared for the morgue. hollie asked to leave to compose herself which led to the selfie incident, she was very much in shock.

he was declared dead at 12, but hollie insisted he was still breathing until 12:15. paul is currently by the back entrance, i can hear wailing and believe it is either him or maybe hollie outside doing her interview still? not sure if it’s still going on, i’m speaking to a nurse on the ward (but on break) over whatsapp. she says it’s been a shitshow from the getgo, hollie wanted a livestream showing the nurses doing it but was talked down.

the chaplain hasn’t been anywhere near them, wasn’t requested or anything. no one from christian concern showed up either. she’s dropped all the god bullshit.

i’m keeping an eye on the back entrance (the one where the photo of hollie and paul was taken). for all his faults, paul seems like a half decent guy, he’s absolutely in bits over archie’s death.

Speaking as someone who hasn't known this situation for more than five minutes. First of all, RIP, no twelve year old should have to die like this. Second of all, what the fuck is wrong with the mom? This is her son, yet she's turning this into one big circus show?

I'm not surprised that the actual end was a bit harrowing, although of course I think we were all hoping that it wouldn't be.
When my friend was near the end, I asked one of the nurses on the palliative care unit what to expect, his lungs were so bad coz he'd developed a chest infection and yellow fluid was seeping out...I was dreading that we'd be basically watching him drown in it. She said that it would be not much more than a deep exhale. Turns out that she was wrong and it was a bit more exorcist-like. I hope they were spared that at least.
 
Fucking finally. Been on it since it came up in the Tard Babies thread and it’s been such a harrowing thing to follow. Every day popping in here and finding out the poor kid isn’t dead yet. I’m glad that’s over, though Hollie is sure to “entertain” us with her godawful behavior for a while.

Rest easy, Archie. I’m so sorry everything had to come to this.
