First, I'd like to restate why I think Takotsubo5 is bullshit as clearly as possible, and why I think it's very likely that they and the Demorialiss account are throwaways for the same person.
Takotsubo5's original 'verification' post ^ with info pulled directly from Demorialiss' post (quoted below)
So, Demorialiss claimed to be yet another friend of martinfinnegan's and remarked about how "surprised they were to see so many of her ex-friends here," when this account was made on the 13th (after the thread had died down for about three days) and hasn't posted anywhere but this thread, and hasn't been active since the 18th.
That, in addition to an anonymous OP makes me think this thread is, for the most part, a personal vendetta against an eccentric, eye-catching lolcow who likely wouldn't have merited more than an 8 page thread until this user revived it 3 days later. Also worth noting that the lolcow had yet to delete their blog by the time Demorialiss decided to sign up and post the following.
You can also see similar writing style between Demorialiss and Takotsubo5, as well as the fact that they're basically regurgitating the same claims in more (fictionalized) depth.
Now, I noticed the link sources in demorialiss' post have been edited to take you to a Naruto wiki. I'm pretty sure they originally linked to the deviantart pages for those two commissions, but don't quote me on that; it's irrelevant, because even if they didn't, here's how the would-be Takotsubo5 (assuming they're even different people) could have gotten the "kakuzu1221 and takotsubo5" urls from that post in 2 easy google searches:
- Reverse image search of the two pieces of fanart at the top of their post bring up the original deviantart pages (here and here). Kakuzu1221 is listed on both pages; I'm fairly sure the post originally linked to those pages as well, but I'm not positive.
- Their account has been deleted, but is archived (here) where you can easily spot "Takotsubo5" in the first post at the top of the page.
If you care enough to dig through what's archived on there, you'll find the seeds of
some of Takotsubo's more authentic details easily visible. The rest can be explained by them being a former mutual who's still over a falling out (who else would bother to fake an account?)
Now, as for the scarce few actually-remotely-relevant posts on this thread, here are my replies:
They did, they originally loved both the game and the Lutece twins when it first came out. After tumblr started shipping lutece-incest en-masse, it kind of ruined it for her and her repeated defenses against people coming to her and flaming her for not liking their ship/not loving Bioshock Infinite more than the original started getting more and more reactionary as she kept having to make the same arguments over again. I was assuming they'd trip up and say they hated Infinite; reconsidering, I should've known better, since I'm fairly sure Takotsubo5 and Demorialiss are the same person, and were also (as Demorialiss stated) a former mutual of martinfinnegan's ("when she was slightly less batshit" to use their words).
Before we start another round of how-does-norrington-remember-that-if-they're-not-scissoring-this-lolcow-on-the-regular, I'll go ahead and answer the inevitable followup question to that. So, why do I remember them loving and then hating Bioshock Infinite/the Lutece characters? Because I had the same reaction to it all (liking the characters then seeing an nsfw incest-flooded tag then going 'ah. not so much'), but I wasn't particularly active in the fandom so I didn't see enough of the incest to be more than mildly put-off (ftr, Infinite is still fine, in my opinion, and they're still good characters, but I wouldn't've tracked their tag on tumblr if my life depended on it).
Teenage middle class white girls being racist when they're young enough to be that stupid and buy into their parents' general belief system isn't exactly news, is it? Anybody here grow up with casually racist/homophobic parents and break away from that kind of toxic thinking by 16 or younger? It's not impossible, but I wouldn't call it the norm, either.
I've answered this in previous posts. If you want, I'll go track them down, but all you have to do is go find where this 'why do you give a shit' point was raised the first time. My first post on this thread answers it as well. I'll recap, though, for the hell of it:
- I don't think this person has ever merited their own lolcow thread
- I've doubted Takotsubo5's validity since I first saw them post on this thread
- Takotsubo5's validity is the only reason the 'she's lying about being a victim of child sexual abuse for oppression points and therefore merits a lolcow thread' argument holds any water whatsoever
- This thread reads more like a personal vendetta than a lolcow and would have died out around page 8 (before they deleted) if Demorialiss hadn't revived it
- I don't think they deserved it, and regardless of how close to them I am (which is not at all, beyond being tumblr mutuals for a few years), I felt some sympathy for them, as much as I would for any person who was a CSA survivor who's been dealt a shit hand, only to subsequently have all their info posted on a forum they were expected to find out about, and then get to read people making fun of their "disgusting pus-filled vag" and talking about a deeply personal account of their being abused as a child (which I still, 100% believe) as "similar to shitty try-hard fanfic"
- Also, I've been procrastinating working on a paper for the majority of this
