Save states are extremely useful and convenient for many games of that era. They allow you to save whenever you want so you can quit the game whenever, you don't have to redo several levels in case you died, you don't have to restart the whole game in case you lose all your lives, etc.

The problem is that it's Phil. Phil, if given the option to be able to save state in every game, would abuse save states as much as he has been doing in Zelda 2 and every other retro game he has played. He has grinded things just so he doesn't have to have a hard time, he has used cheese strat after cheese strat to avoid all challenges and the list goes on.

I'm pretty sure that in Anno Domini MMXXII Todd "Howard Todd" Howard released a version of Skyrim that runs on my toaster, with full mod support. Though I wouldn't completely rule out that the PC scam is for Khet's benefit God knows he's pulled similar scams like this.

It gives me flashbacks to the let's players Retsupurae used to mock. Phil always likes to say that when he started there was no blueprint for being a Youtuber but this save state/load state bullshit was labled as one of the most annoying things to do in a lets play before Phil started Youtube. Another frequent thing mocked was pointing a camcorder at your tv screen, something Phil didn't correct until 2013 or 14.

Which funny enough, he has been saying that it was TIHYDP that started all the bullshit hate against him. But some other duo also watched him one day 10+ years ago. That he constantly accuses the wrong channel of.

I would wonder when he is gonna swing back to blaming Slowbeef. But Slowbeef seems to have no interest in this shit again

it completely contradicts his mantra of being a real honest gaymer gurl too, for years the faggot mocked and projected onto everyone else for having segmented/perfectionist runs cause people dared to call him out on his lack of editing, now you still get the repeated failures of his raw playthroughs, but "edited in realtime" due to the fact he can just rewind endlessly with the new excuse being "I CAN'T BE MAKING NO PROGRESS DOOD I HAVE OTHER GAMES TO PLAY"

Not sure which is more cringe, dsps response or this feature. You are not forced to buy it if you emberrased at seeing some sideboobs.

Also, it does negatively affect the game in my opinion, same when you turn on streamer mode and play it without music.
