I did start getting the sneaking suspicion that LaBelle just was called gay repeatedly as a child, because he liked dresses and barbies. After someone on DA noticed the girly behaviour in the boy, they said he seems pretty trans, which lead him to his lifestyle now. Not having to be gay and still keep his peen and wear his dresses. And since he's not your "usual" transgender, he is always "opressed". So he feeds the tumblr people with his BS that they of course believe, further strengthening his own belief that he actually is trans and not a gay man repressing his gayness.

That would explain a lot, at least.
