A Kiwi Farms game of FATAL: Abandon all hope, ye who enter here

Yeah, you're supposed to roll for every year of your life and add all the points together and buy from that.

I say just figure out how many years you have in each column and award yourself an average, nobody wants to roll for skillpoints 45 times.
Oh, does the base stat affect all the skills underneath it? (like strength)

I have no fucking idea how to work this. Please help.

As Dynastia said, yes. It's basically <Ability Mod (average if it references multiple Abilities)> + Skill Points In This Skill = Total Modifier
Just roll your skillpoints pool and choose where you're putting them. Pretty sure poor old Sticky can calc out our ability modifiers, unless you want to spend an hour or so writing up your Total Modifier calculations
WE'RE TRYIN NIGGA IT'S HARD
@Fallensaint that's understatement from Dynastia. It's like staring into the void of madness and trying to extract sanity.

You forgot to include the learning curve gradient modifier :story:

You should relaly only calculate the skills you're actually gonna use imminently, because a single wound will damage your base stats and throw every single skill level off, requiring a full recalculation for every skill in the game.

Yeah..fuck the LCG Modifier..that shit is insanity personified. Just calc your modifiers when you need them, if @Splendid Meat Sticks doesn't do it for you in his GMing.

I completely misinterpreted skill points. That's what I get for assuming my character was complete.
Alright 66 skill points
50 into brawling ( that's 5 extra brawl attacks per round)
2 into basket weaving
4 into delousing
5 into wrestling
5 into ventriloquism

Beavis the teenage pyromaniac Bugbear returns from his trip to the outhouse to discover a barfight and lots of fire. He's going to murderize the bar tender and steal his stuff while everyone's distracted.
"heh, heh, FIRE FIRE FIRE! Like, dude, I'm gonna, like, take all the bartenders booze and silver and stuff. That'll be cool. I'll be, like, rich. And then I can score. heh heh."
Are you sure you want to do that? Fatal does have rules for criminal justice. IIRC, the sentence for murder is death, even for a monarch.
Rolled 6d12-6: 54 skill points (6 years old? Unless I fucked it up)
Format: [Remaining]Spent
[29]25 into Weapon, General (Blunt/Mace/Hammers?)
[9]20 into Weapon, Specific (2H Hammers/Mauls)
[4]5 into Weapon Mastery (2H Hammer)
[0]4 into Hurl (for thrown weapons I'm assuming?)
My excuse is that I've trained with bashing things since I was tossed into the gladiator pit as a baby.
Glaukon charges ADF and swings his maul towards ADF's torso (on the side he's wielding the dagger) gripping with both hands so the upper hand is about 3/4 up the shaft towards the head (fulcrum point of 65 since it has a range of 5-90)...
[Note: Maul, acording to the later book, has a base damage range of 4d12+4..jesus)
This system is seriously autistic...
Alright, you manage to hit Phil (Can't show rolls right now, I'm in a hurry at an airport.) He stumbles backwards, drops his dagger, and screams in pain. His arm looks just fine, but one of his fingers is bent the wrong way...
Phil is still standing.

The fire begins to spread.

@Dynastia , you find a wooden shilleleigh and you discover that the inside of the pimp's hat is lined with a metal blade. If you could throw it in someone's head, it could do a lot of damage.

Ass-Smasher just shrugs to himself. He's perfectly content to just watch everyone fight, walking up to the bartender and seeing if he can still order a beer even as the place burns down.

Gregek Kuruhuluret begins to feel a little warm, and decides to leave the burning inn, and take up position outside and wait for ADF to walk outside, and hit him as soon as he exits.

[If Phil walks through door he will hold his weapon at fulcrum point 70 and swing for his upper torso.]

Ok, still not showing rolls and going into detail. I'm still at an airport.

Holding it more towards the base.
:stress:

You hit him! He does on the spot. You got some Graphic Gore (Fatal's version of crits) but I'm in a rush and dudes dead as fuck, so let's just assume you cleaved him in half.

Assuming Randal doesn't murder him first, you find that she's fled, but the beer is unguarded....

You walk outside. Phil died before anything could happen.

Remember, no game tomorrow or the day after, but you can still submit moves if you want. We have a little bit of downtime since the combat is over.

Okay, I won't kill the bartender, I'll just charge towards the nearest still living spastic and assault them. Then loot the place.
