This part was kind of right but the rest of it is very naive and/or intellectually dishonest.
The Ukraine has had western-aligned governments since 2005. The push was for EU ascension. They never asked for NATO help until Russia started breaking off pieces of it. NATO told them no. Now Russia is coming for the rest. NATO still ain't done shit. West can't get it's shit together enough to agree on a sanctions package.

Pretty fuckin' sure the NATO thing is just some bullshit Russia made up.

This is what i was wondering, what is Putin plan here? is it just a desperate kick at the end of his career or is there something beyond Ukraine? they already knew starting from the word go that this war was gonna cost them any and all international trade probably for decades.
What could possibly be worth ruining your international trade and cooperation?
While i don't discard the possibility of just being done by pure pride one has to wonder if there's anything that's not just Ukraine or goes beyond Ukraine that seemed worthy
It kind of depends on the results. From the various takes I've read, Putin cares about himself, not about Russia. As long as he thinks it helps keep him in power, it was probably worth it to him. Whether he annexes Urkraine, changes the regime, or takes part of it and installs a puppet regime in what's left. If the international dickwaving gets him more support in Russia than the sanctions costs him, he wins. Especially if he can successfully blame the west for the sanctions and divert people's ire onto them. If everything falls to shit 10-15 years down the line because of it, he doesn't care. He'll either be dead, or he'll come up with something else to help him stay in power until he croaks.

Biden managed to do all this while in his sleep due to the time difference.

Do you honestly mean to tell me that an event has occurred somewhere on Earth and the determining factor was not the 2020 US election?

Going to need a source for that friend.

He's a good man. He's straightforward and trustworthy.

Dubya looked in his eyes, and Putin has a soul.

"I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country."

Overnight the Russian police cracked down on the anti-war protests around Russia.

Lots of people getting trampled by the Russian police.

Around 1700 arrests reported so far.

"Arrest Putin, not me!"
