The Dixie thing on the main page is a meme related to the ongoing happening in Ukraine. The joke is that the flag of Novorossiya (a hypothetical polity in the Donbass area, for Russians in Ukraine) looks a lot like the Confederate flag. Along with people singing a Russian-language rendition of "I Wish I Was in Dixie."
I do like TIK but watching the first ~30 minutes of his Public vs. Private video made me start taking all of his other politicial videos with a few grains of salt. If I recall the details correctly he argued that ancient people had no concept of individuality and were completely collectivist, which is just wrong and also a gross over-generalization. I noticed when I was watching it that he was quoting (just for that 30 min section where he's covering the ancient era) almost exclusively from a single book, so I think either he was relying on a bad source or he really misunderstood what it was saying. And as Matt Damon said he has a hard time grasping the concept that definitions change over time. He's still a good watch but I'd encourage anyone wanting to listen to stuff on this topic to not rely solely on his videos.
And when, pray tell, are Canadian elections held? Unlike here in the USA where it seems local/state-election republicans have shown some guts to push back against the madness we're experiencing, it doesn't sound feasible for Canada outside of a select handful of provinces. Ontario and BC overwhelm the rest of them purely by numbers. Tyranny of the majority is way too ingrained there short of Trudeau dropping all pretenses and doing reprehensible shit that results in mass murder upon Canadians (i.e. famines or intense crackdowns.)

Ontario gets to vote in June iirc. My province is next year. The problem is that most of the provinces have conservative parties in charge, and they were the ones that implemented vax passports - the liberals and NDP would make things even worse. There is no voting out of this because they're all following the same playbooks.

I'll counter this and say i hope it's a psyop that causes DC to militarize and tons of money to get wasted. Protesting in DC doesn't do anything unless you already have the backing of the government. Protesting locally will get way more done in the US.
