It looks like she does put in an 8 hour workday, who knows what shes's doing but she clearly sits in front of her computer most of the day. Not really exactly what I expected. But of course this means she obviously fucks off constantly. After she gets her business in order for the day and fires off a few tweets she should at least block off part of her morning to work undistracted. Looks like she stops working after lunch on fridays and has to go somewhere thursdays.

If the accusation is false, the accused has a case against them.

If it's true, she still loses, because instead of denying the defense an attempt to attack her character and give them a chance to take apart her arguments in advance, she has instead tainted her credibility and made it very hard for the accused to receive a fair trial. Even if she wins, she'll have a very uphill battle to get there. Also, rape is one of the hardest crimes to convict based simply on hearsay, so if she hasn't submitted evidence of the rape ASAP while most of the physical evidence is fresh, it boils down to her word against his, one of the worst situations to ever prove anything.

Considering how much support she will get for this move, I doubt that Stoya will in any way care about potential blacklists.

For the sake of argument I'm going to pretend the accusation is true: I agree that it will be a hard battle to convince anything if she takes it to court, but in the eyes of the public, she's already a hero for daring to speak up. It is rape when there is no consent. Intoxication has to be sufficient to nullify consent.

Consent is a highly circumstance-dependent thing, and there are no bright line rules about it. There isn't a specific BAC at which you legally cease to be able to consent.

There are obvious cases, where someone is incapable of even speaking or standing up, where there probably isn't consent.

Many cases aren't so obvious.

There's a difference between impaired judgment, when someone might make a decision they later regret, and actually being incapable of understanding and consenting to something.

Needless to say, it's probably a bad idea to combine alcohol with strange. . .but that's basically what singles bars are for and millions of people do it every year without it being rape.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't keeping the CPU at a high-but-manageable temperature do less damage than putting the CPU under repeated thermal and load cycles?
