Also with regard to that FTM, I'm no doctor but that colour change seems to me to be blood pooling in the neophallus, possibly because there's no muscle tissue there to generate pressure against gravity; like how people who are sat down for long periods of time have blood pool in the legs. If so then that's a recipe for blood clots and sepsis since the blood can't re-oxygenate which would cause tissue death
