The one where Spectre took his armchair lawyer shtick to the next level and immediately fucked up
There are some recent happenings on which few may even be aware of and while I believe Spectre meant well in this instance, it should be documented because he did something stupid and I think it speaks to his desire for attention and recognition.
Several months ago, KiwiFarms user Preston Poulter (
@PocketJacks) sued Ethan van Sciver (
@FROG), Victoria C. Kundert (
@VIkkiVerse) and Ali "Dean" Assaf for defamation. Preston was set to publish a risqué comic featuring an underage character under the Comicsgate branding, which he claims to own after spite trademarking the term from Ethan. In short, he alleges they defamed him by saying that the look and design of the 17 year old character was pedophilic. The artist who created her also has a DeviantArt account where he has favorited 3d renderings of nude, petite, flat chested women with childlike faces. It seems that he likes that particular art style.
Spectre is familiar with all of these individuals and has been covering the lawsuit since it's inception on his YouTube channel. He has been in regular communication with Vikki and Dean as they attempt to defend against Preston's frivolous lawsuit. He has also been posting about it in the lawsuit's KiwiFarms thread and because of his intimacy with the defendants, he was able to hint at things to come. For example, he teased that Vikki's summons was defective, but wouldn't say how. A month later, and court filings revealed that Vikki's summons was returned unserved. The New Mexico address Preston had for her was wrong. He has yet to discover where she lives. He currently alleges that she is evading service at an address in California and has pointed to comments she made on Spectre's videos as evidence of that.
Vikki's [summons] is hugely defective in one way, which is guaranteed to mean it fails. I promised Vikki I wouldn't explain publicly how it's fucked up, because I want Preston and John to spend more money. To put it bluntly, they have to completely redraft their complaint and summons because of it. I know we don't like "teasing" like this, but it offers some great shit in a few weeks when the bills come in and Preston sees he literally just wasted hundreds of dollars here.
Dean has not been as fortunate. He was the first party served. He could not afford an attorney and responded pro se. Since he doesn't know what he is doing, he filed an answer instead of a motion to dismiss (as Ethan's lawyer would do) and may have waived jurisdiction in doing so. This is apparently when Spectre decided to take a more hands on approach and put his prelaw classes to good use.
Unbeknownst to all those following and commenting on the case, he secretly drafted Dean's motion to dismiss and his reply to Preston's response. The day before the reply was filed with the court, Spectre livestreamed it on his channel. He had the exclusive scoop on the document he wrote. He proudly admitted this without any prompting and said it was completely legal because he is not a lawyer, which is the problem. Dean has no attorney client privilege with Spectre, and Preston is litigious and spiteful. He has threatened to sue
@TESTEFY-HD too. I don't want to give Spectre too much shit for helping Dean, but this was something he should have kept his mouth shut about. Instead of doing that, he blabbed at the first opportunity.
Contrast that with Rekieta, whom he aspires to be. Nick was accused of guntguarding relentlessly for over a year for being wishy washy on Ralph and his revenge porn, which we only recently learned was because he had given Ralph actual legal advice. He had an obligation to Ralph, and kept their relationship confidential, until Ralph stupidly broke that privilege by sharing their DMs to the public. Parties opposed to Ralph may now be able to subpoena Nick for those DMs to use in their cases against him.
While Preston and/or his council are obviously watching Spectre's videos on the lawsuit, not many else are. The livestream where he confessed to writing Dean's legal filings was only seen by a little over 100 people. Posters in the farm's lawsuit thread were unware of this, but were suspicious nonetheless. This post, by a known Rekieta troll, along with some criticism of Dean's reply that he had ghostwritten, was all it took for him to hop on to defend his work.
Is Spectree helping him/writing a good deal of his response(s)?
Dean's reply filed Oct 4th

He deleted these replies, however, the livestream where he discussed his involvement is still online. His most recent one is, anyway. He deleted others, reportedly because he inadvertently displayed some of his DMs while sharing his screen.

You can also see his lack of care or concern for his client/co-council when he appeared on The Poz Show two weeks ago. Dean was on the show along with him and when the topic of Preston's lawsuit came up, the host removed Dean from the discussion out of an abundance of caution while Spectre stayed on. He had worked on Dean's motion to dismiss the month before and would've been working on the reply at the time.
