Jamie's boon is that she plays notable minor characters in popular shows. What's ironic though, is the main following her specific characters would have (Mt. Lady, Cana, etc) is the exact guys she's been decrying, which is to say lonely guys jerking it to rule 34s of cheesecake background characters. Mt. Lady's superpower is that she can make herself really big (proportionally) and her whole shtick is that she tries to raise her popularity by usually thot'ing it up while huge.

The Sad Truth is, that this is not how Japan does business, they will take years to react and when they react,
they will pull the dubs and take another year or two to look for another service.

I used to do business with a Japanese Company, those guys are slower than Ents when it comes to contracts with foreigners.
Years till they sign them and Years till they revoke them.

I will pass along the compliments. That's our media coordinator at work, really not sure how they do it. I'd be roasting chestnuts by now, but will pass along the encouragement. I'm sure they need it.

Basically our marching orders are to ignore, archive and report (to Vic's attorney). We were told that there's no sense in engaging any of them, and rightfully so. When David Wyldstar (who lives near Kitchener, Ontario) is trying to get a group in California up our ass, there's no logic to take a foothold on.

Props to the crew for handling things in a mature fashion. Engaging with those fools will only make them scream louder. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. It is best that they know their place is one that has no control. It seems to be similar to what happened at Matsuri. Despite the threats of a boycott, one never came. (Three people going to a bar to whine about it doesn't count.) So it is probably a bunch of empty threats being made to try and bully people into giving in. I think the con will run relatively smoothly as all the others have done so with Vic already. The complainers are people who never been to these cons they complain about and never planned to go whether Vic would be there or not. So for them to act as though they are potential customers is laughable

Vic talked about directors at anime studios, mentioned that a lot of times, studios would be so desperate for directors they'd hire people with no prior experience or knowledge, like a dude working for an ad agency. He also brings up Funimation directors thinking he's difficult to work with. He claims he always made an effort to be easy to work with (always on time, finishes work quickly, friendly and humourous while working). The only reason directors found him difficult to work with was because he wanted to do certain takes more than once, because he wanted the end result to be perfect. He said that the end product often suffered because the directors didn't really care, because they either didn't really know what they were doing or just didn't care.

Just thought it was interesting. Really puts the whole "difficult to work with" thing in perspective.

They knew what the show was and what they were getting into. Funi has released other shows with content just as strong. Hell, their version was still censored. Someone wasn't happy with that show and wanted it axed, be it pressure from a voice actor or a bootlicker bitching about anime tiddies. But it's nice to know that they do have standards, especially during comic conventions.

And somehow this makes him a monster. Somehow this is worse than Michael Camino doing hundreds of takes and spending too much time and money directing Heaven’s Gate. Difference is that firing Cimino would’ve saved UA money whereas firing Vic has cost Funimation some.
