On Windows, the new video player also has the issue that fullscreen doesn't display the settings cog, so you have to adjust the resolution before going fullscreen.

And another thing: it doesn't use the keyboard shortcuts YouTube uses, like K for pause/play. Space bar may work or not for this purpose, but it's not very reliable. Thus, if your keyboard doesn't have multimedia keys, you are forced to use the mouse.

These are FACE MP4s. I'm whitelisting them. Our media postprocessor should be able to handle it.

Video fails to load with new media player API and infinitely loops buffering. Opening the video in a new tab though, the file loads without issue.

Uh I can reproduce that, I think that specific attachment is broken. Will look into it.

Someone else probably reported this, but every time I hover over a video, it automatically starts the video. I did not manually start the video, yet the video and captions start playing. Audio does not automatically play.


It can also lead to stripes taking place of the thumbnail. This tends to happen when canvas data can't be accessed or NoScript prevents something from loading. I'm on Tor if that helps.

Hey @Null, I know @Rache Bartmoss mentioned this earlier regarding new thread views being bugged but I think all thread views might be glitched. I thought it was just in PG, but it seems to be site wide.

The issue is more prevelant/easy to spot in newer threads, as what happens is that the views of the thread are always locked to being just one higher than the number of posts. Some examples from PG:

In older threads created prior to when this bug surfaced, the views are locked at staying the exact same. What I assume is happening is based on the previous examples where views are locked at being one higher than the number of posts, the system is waiting for the posts to catch up to the views before increasing again. For example, in this thread, I know I clicked it a couple of times yesterday which should increase the views but it's stuck at 882 views and probably wouldn't go up until it hits 882 posts:

Kind of a trivial problem but when you click "Post Reply" and you need to do Kiwiflare, it redirects you. Then when you come back your reply is wiped from the text box and it didn't type it. It doesn't save a draft of my post so it was lost.
