Welcome to "I am EMS in a major, primarily black city". Getting shot at is fairly common especially in lower income areas and gang zones.

That's just Hennepin County EMS. Tbh they do look a bit LARPy.

If shit goes south in a region and there's a chance of gun fire, no EMS team will ever deploy a single person without a vest of some kind.
