Tattoo needles aren't supposed to go in deep enough to cause a bruise though. They're supposed to go to between the epidermus and the hypodermis...

I think it's actually probably just the ink from where the tattooist marked the skin before starting. They always use purple ink, I have no idea...

Isn't this guy a masochist? Isn't just as likely he intentionally got himself hurt?
