Anything above +10C is too hot for me so any State that get's above -10C in the winter isn't a real winter to me. Then again I'm used to winters...

It's not just the temperature, it's also the humidity (or lack thereof) , the amount of snow, etc Try 42 C Celcius is almost universal farenheit...
