PM chains are great for discussing compromising info which could scare a lolcow off or for collaborating on authoring threads.

I mean it is a good way to talk more in depth about things without being tied to forum rules...I suppose?

i use them to ask for things like what an fzero car's name is and for when im done shitting up a thread with an accidentally derailing topic or post.

TBF, it was originally because a particular group of faggots wouldn't stop shitting up the Deep Thoughts election thread that was more-or-less...
