I doubt it would happen though, unless the federal government charges the city, but I'm not sure if they could even do that.

That's what the businesses in the class action agains the city government are doing. The city government actively endorsed and provided material...

It's a shame they can't sue BLM since it would be easy for them to cough up the money for these businesses.
