Puritans hate fun.

They're talentless, mentally-ill randos that most people would just ignore, so they have to make themselves impossible to ignore.

They see it as a device that can spread "the word" as it's popular....in theory.

Entertainment is what people do to have fun. So if you absolutely hate fun, that's where you go to destroy it.
