I'm going to keep this short out of concern for my privacy but in summary I'm actively involved at DGG(Digital Ground Game) and I have some things I would like to share with the general public. While I cannot share my specific time working at DGG, I can assure you that my time has been long enough to observe the negative changes that have occurred in the recent months. It's not an easy decision to make these things public, but it has become clear to me that these things coming to light will be healing for an organization which I have dedicated my blood sweat and tears into.
This story starts with our April Canvassing Fundraiser. Basically we had a bunch of streamers go live and advertise for our organization attempting to help fund our next big canvassing operation. Everything went smoothly and it was a massive success. We were all very happy with the amount raised and felt like we were gearing up to make a big difference in America. While everything seemed fine initially things started to feel weird when I heard Kyla and some other DGG staffers were planning to create a Campus Tour. On it's face this didn't send out any red flags, just felt like another project to add to our list. DGG is very compartmentalized so it wasn't like it would be changing the way I or most employees were doing things anyway. I sort of brushed it off at the time, it just didn't seem like a big deal but I was mistaken.
I started to hear a lot more about this tour as time went on, they decided to name it the Take Back America Tour and it was set to be headed by Kyla Turner(Notsoerudite) and sponsored by DGG. I wasn't too involved in the gossip, but Kyla is very controversial inside DGG, a lot of people find her off-putting and being that a lot of us are Destiny fans it isn't hard to see why she has that reputation. Aside from interpersonal drama though I had no reason to think she would be up to anything harmful. When the tour started to get brought up more, most of what I heard was just people who thought it was kind of ridiculous to add anything more to our already massive list of projects. I'm not going to sit here and pretend I was some active critic either, it just didn't seem like a big deal to me at the time and it's not like I was going to go call up Bryce Peever(our Executive Director) and give him ideas on how to run his company either. Plus Bryce is known for crashing out anytime you give him criticism. IDK though the whole thing just felt forced, probably because Bryce would do anything to feel important.
So the first stop the tour had was in Washington DC for this Trump UFC fight thing, I thought it was a dumb idea TBH because what possibly could be accomplished by flying out a bunch of influencers to DC to go fuck around in the Capital for a few days. Money is a really sensitive topic, I think it's that way for most companies so people weren't exactly throwing around dollar amounts, but it most definitely was an expensive trip. They had Private Security, multiple days in an Airbnb, flights paid for, and even paid for a damn Camera Crew. I'm sure that's not all of it either. They even brought this dude named Rinyald, the guy had no joke less than 100 followers. He was one of their "Content Creators." I was pissed off, so were multiple others because it's not like DGG is just throwing money in the air, canvassing is EXPENSIVE, and not everyone on staff is even going to get to participate in the Canvassing Operation, you know like the ENTIRE POINT OF THE FUNDRAISER. I feel like if people donating to the fundraiser knew that they were paying for Kyla's DC trip they wouldn't have payed a dime. So here's what happened, a bunch of these Influencers went out to DC and just debated randos off the street. It was literally so weird, some of the people there didn't even post a single video for the tour. The Instagram page for the tour barely even grew and the Tour's fundraiser only made $10 by the end of the DC trip.
It gets worse though, one of the only people we brought with any clout, Hairsoupp, didn't just not make a single post but she proceeded to go on live and talk about how terrible the trip was. She said that Brian Shapiro made her super uncomfortable and was acting racist. I don't blame her, who would want to post about this??? Plus I heard she was right about Brian, people said he was super weird and made a lot of people there uncomfortable. Kyla even said the same. Now she probably won't work with us again, not that I even care at this point though because this whole tour idea just seems stupid. So how did we resolve this problem over at DGG? If you're thinking that anyone took accountability you'd be absolutely incorrect, they treat Brian like he's just some spoiled brat they want to appease so he'll shut up. It's sad. At this point Kyla might as well have her own department at DGG, it's like she gets special privileges', watch me light thousands of dollars on fire and see how quickly I'd get fired. But if ANYONE mentioned this to Bryce they would be verbally assaulted. What wasn't made clear was how much money we spent on this, who got paid, and if Kyla is getting paid.
Everyone always says that Destiny is cool with this but to be honest I find it hard to believe. Maybe it's just that I have clouded judgement but he couldn't possibly be this stupid right??? He has a lot on his plate right now, the guy is getting sued and he doesn't seem happy in general. There have even been talks about what to do if Destiny loses the lawsuit, how we will "Move On" without Destiny if things go south. Whos company even is this??? It's called DGG not Kyla Incorporated. I just feel like there's something Bryce isn't telling us, it's not like Destiny just chats with us on the daily so we sort of just have to take his word for it. Bryce is losing trust more and more everyday, not just from me either. No one knows what to do with Kyla, she's like a parasite, no one can get rid of her no matter how much most of us resent her.
For some reason we are STILL planning more events for this tour, the next stop is set for Las Vegas. They bought some crazy expensive looking venue in Vegas and are planning on hosting a live debate against republicans. The main event is Destiny vs George Santos. George Santos as in the Ex Convict, Former Republican Representative, a guy who literally lied about his family surviving the holocaust and 9/11, and even someone who received a direct pardon from TRUMP. If this debate was just an opportunity to embarrass him that would be cool but I was told they are PAYING HIM. Why would DGG EVER be funneling the communities money into someone like that??? Kyla also confirmed this by saying that he is under a contract(screenshot attached). Aside from the main debate their are also two openers, I don't even know half the people we selected, it's not like we didn't have options either. We even picked this guy Micah Erfan who apparently works with Adam Mockler just to get closer to Adam. He didn't even go to the first event either so people were not happy. It just feels so fake, bringing on some random kid just for the hopes that maybe Adam will work with us eventually. Typical for a decision coming from Kyla. I've heard Kyla is trying to distance from Steven, people in DGG are starting to see him as a brand risk so that's a lot of why this pivot is taking place. It's caused a lot of internal division because on one end Destiny helped build this organization into what it is, but I know people are not happy about Steven's recent harassment campaigns against Hasan and his beef with Connor(Counter Points), especially Kyla. So If we did a tour with a bunch of influencers it grows DGG into more than just Destiny's thing and would allow for us to insulate ourselves from the criticism of Steven. I think this is really messed up, Steven poured a lot into this organization and Kyla's career but she is trying to use it to her own benefit.
If any of my team mates are reading this I hope you know that I don't want to hurt DGG, but I just don't want this organization to continue moving in this direction. I wish there was another way to publish this but there really isn't, I already feel like I'm risking a lot by posting this even on an anonymous message board. We need the communities help with this, so it has to be made public.
